2012

As we get closer to the end of summer - it's time to gear up for the 2012 CWIRA season. As in the past the membership season will start just after Labor Day, and remember as in the past if you "join up" before/at the Fall Meeting, you get a FREE CWIRA T-Shirt when they are available later in the season.

Later this week one of the many meetings about the 2012 schedule will take place, we may have more info to share after that.

Good luck to all you riders on the clay/blacktop this summer - and remember it's never too early to contact your tire supplier for the winter racing!

As always, if somethings comes up drop us a line at cwirainfo@gmail.com or give a call.

The big question....

"What happens if the races get cancelled/postponed or something at 4am?" Well, here's the deal: The first call that's made is from the promoter to Prez Jim Falke, the second call is to the hotline number 715-212-6340. We then change the "outgoing" voice-mail message to say whatever is going on (like cancelled-turn home) as needed. The next thing is we text into the twitter.com/cwira feed and update that as well as our cwira.blogspot.com page. Both the bolg page and twitter feed then automatically show up on the cwira.com site to update people who are looking via the web.

So, depending how your personal situation is (smartphone/web/twitter/plain old telephone) you will get the update inside of a few minutes of the original call - and if you have cell coverage you can find out "on the road" just as fast.

Again, as of Saturday afternoon (1:45pm) the races at Dexterville are a go!

#19 Open Pro Bike/Pro Vet Bike Retired

As you look over the numbers you'll see the number 19 is not available in Pro Vet Bike and Open Pro Bike. That was the number carried by Donnie Waldbuesser - one heck of a good Ice Racer and someone who's made the trek to CWIRA events right from the start of the series.

We lost Donnie in a swimming accident. It was suggested by Judy Sumner of the AMA that we retire the #19 - and so we will.
