CWIRA 2016 Is History

Well, we made it......

One of the strangest years in memory for weather and conditions - but we still got in 8 points races.  Special thanks to Weyauwega and Humbird for allowing us to get in the Saturday races - 8 sure sounds better than 6 for a season!

A word about points:  The raw totals are now posted on the "Results" tab of along with results from both days at Humbird.  By "Raw Totals" we mean "Worker Points" and "Throw Out" days have not been factored in yet.  Because I don't have the confirmed worker list for all the races we are not going to put in partial information - it will go in all at once so it's accurate for everybody.

As usual there will be 1 week to allow for protests and correction - because the totals are not complete that week will not start until the totals are finished.  At minimum it will be next week so the earliest the totals will become FINAL is in two weeks,

For right now, check your results and expected points on those results for accuracy.  If you find an error CONTACT ME.  Don't waste your time talking to other people - it needs to get to me to be fixed.  And for gosh sakes don't use Facebook or social media,  Email is best or text me at 715-212-6340.  And use real names, class names and race details.  I KNOW there will be errors someplace (we are only human) and I want to do everything I can to make it right for your year racing with us.

email: - this one comes directly to me.

Direct link to those raw results I mentioned:

Damn fine to be part of all this.  I really enjoyed it and I hope you all had a great year!

On to the Banquet.......

Hunbird/Early Start Update

As you may have already heard, the CWIRA season finale for Saturday and Sunday will be at Humbird (both days).

The forecast for Saturday is 50ish so we will be making every attempt to get the racing action started EARLY on Saturday before it gets too warm and track conditions kill the racing.

Please TRY to get there early and be prepared for the race day to start about 9:30.  Practice will be DRASTICALLY reduced (if held at all) to help preserve the track and get things started.

The plan is to have two tracks waiting for us so whatever we do to the track Saturday we will have a fresh track for Sunday and hopefully slightly colder temperatures.  If all goes well we should at least get through one set of motos Saturday and the full program on Sunday.

If there are any extreme updates (like cancellations) the hotline is up at 715-212-6340 and the info will be on plus social media.

Grand Finale Weekend - Humbird/Humbird Feb 27/28

OK, you kinda figured this bizzaro winter we've had was going to throw us one more curve didn't you?  Well here we go.....

The 2016 CWIRA Season will end with a Saturday/Sunday weekend at Humbird - both days full CWIRA Points - Feb 27 & 28.

The ice there is good so the only problem we will face is the warmer temps degrading the surface.  The track is being set up with both days in mind so we should see as good of surface as we would get anywhere both Saturday and Sunday.

If you need to get your worker points in - don't forget to sign up.  The last few spots are filling up.  The direct link to the sign up page is here:

Be advised the Hatfield race for Feb 21 has been cancelled - probably due to the water ski boats in the way.....

Just kidding.  But it's to wet to run this week.  The event **MAY** be rescheduled for next Saturday, no decision has been made at this time.

Hatfield Is {{NOT}} Good

DON'T FORGET TO SIGN UP FOR WORKER DAYS!  Your points will not count unless you (or somebody for you) gets a work day in.....and there are only two left.  Sign up on the message board.

WAOW At Dexterville

Thanks to April at Chanel 9 for braving the snowstorm and joining us Sunday!

For the record - they captioned me as "Race Director" - that position is held by Larry Strangfeld.  But Larry is shy around cameras.......

Just a reminder - BOTH Saturday AND Sunday are FULL POINTS at Weyauwega!  That will leave us with an almost normal season of 8 points events - assuming we finish out the season with no more cancellations.
